there are things you should know.

Some children discover a primary piece of their identity on the soccer field or in the science lab.  Others setup shop in art class and make it their home away from home for ten months out of the year.  I was a theater geek.

Being an actor has been my point of entry for so many unique and valuable life experiences.   It won me a scholarship to Boston University to study theater the summer before my senior year of high school.   It brought me to Bard College, where I spent four years being educated alongside truly inspired, intelligent, and unique individuals.  It flew me to Russia, to the Moscow Art Theater, where I collided with a culture drastically different from my own.  I saw plays, ballets, and operas created by the worlds most renowned and innovative companies.  I worked alongside some of our nations most prized and talented artists, on stages, movie sets and commercial shoots in cities across the country.

Now, I’m an actor turned strategist. And I think what sets me apart as a strategist is also what drove my work as an actor: empathy.  Advertising matters most where it makes life better.  Data is instrumental when it enables us to imagine the substance of other people’s lives more clearly.  What I love most about the work of a strategist is exactly the same as what I loved about being an actor.   It is the opportunity to learn about and share stories of people’s hopes, dreams, desires, and fears.
